Find Your Space

Three rooms with three different moods — or take the whole building.

Each floor runs its own music, so a presentation upstairs and a DJ downstairs can happen at the same time. Nero sits at 1207 19th St NW, minutes from Dupont Circle and Farragut West.

The Wine Bar

~60 standing
Corporate · Presentations · DJ & dancing

Our most open floor plan and the room corporate planners pick. A projector and screen for the deck, tables that move to the walls when it's time to dance, and the self-dispensing wine machine as the centerpiece.

  • Projector and screen
  • Tables clear for a dance floor
  • Self-dispensing wine machine, 24 rare wines

Sabina

~50 standing
Private dinners · Milestone birthdays · Intimate parties

The darker, more intimate room downstairs. Low light, a cocktail-forward bar and the kind of atmosphere people remember. Most flexible — and best value — midweek.

  • Intimate, low-lit setting
  • Best midweek value
  • Sundays possible for larger events

The Main Bar

~60 standing
Usually part of a full buyout

The ground-floor room and the full cocktail program. It's rarely booked on its own — most often it comes as part of taking the whole building, where it becomes the arrival and reception space.

  • Full cocktail program
  • Natural arrival and reception space
  • Ask us about booking it standalone

Full Buyout

~180 standing · ~70 seated
Holiday parties · Launches · Large corporate

Every room, exclusively yours. Guests move between three distinct atmospheres across the night — reception at the main bar, presentation in the wine bar, the after-party in Sabina — without anyone leaving the building.

  • All three spaces, no shared rooms
  • Different music on each floor
  • The move for 80+ guests
Beverage

Package the bar, or keep it open and flexible.

Most of our events run on a host tab or individual tabs — packages come into their own for large corporate groups where the budget needs to be fixed in advance. Both are easy; we'll tell you which fits your headcount.

Host tab

You set the limit, we run the bar against it and stop where you say. The most common choice for corporate events that want control without a fixed per-head cost.

Individual tabs

Guests open their own tabs and order anything on the full menu. Nothing on your bill, complete freedom for them.

On consumption

Pay for exactly what's poured. Often the cheaper route for shorter events or groups that drink lightly.

Wine cards · $200 minimum

Load a card for the self-dispensing machine and let guests explore 24 rare wines in 2, 3 or 5 oz pours. A tasting experience, not just a drink.

Estimate the cost

Your all-in number, before you talk to anyone.

Most venues make you inquire to find out what it costs, then surprise you with the fees at the end. Move the numbers below and see the real total — tax, event fee and gratuity included.

An estimate, not a quote. Your final number depends on the room, the day, the time and what you want the night to be — a Saturday buyout prices differently from a Tuesday dinner in Sabina. Bar spend on a tab or consumption basis isn't included above. All menu prices are exclusive of 10% DC sales tax, 5% event fee and 18% gratuity.

How pricing works

Published menus. Customized quotes.

The menu and bar prices above are real and they don't move. What does move is everything around them — which is why your quote is built for your event rather than pulled off a shelf.

The room

Sabina on a Saturday is not Sabina on a Tuesday. The wine bar prices differently from a full buyout.

Day and time

Weeknights are our most flexible. Saturday nights in December are our least, and Sundays carry a premium — we open specially and bring in a full team.

Guest count

Minimums move with the room and the date. Larger groups often unlock better per-head economics.

What you need

Seated dinner versus a standing reception, a DJ, projection, a mixed platter format — each shapes staffing and setup.

How long it runs

Parties often go past the time they booked, which is welcome — it just adds to the final bill. Better said now than discovered later.

Event features

Built to be rearranged around you.

Projector & screen

In the wine bar. Bring a deck, a slideshow or a photo montage — plug in and run it.

DJ-friendly

Bring your own DJ. Tables move to the walls and the room becomes a dance floor.

Music by floor

Each space runs independently. A presentation on one floor and a party on another, at the same time.

Outside vendors welcome

Florists, photographers, decorators, DJs — bring the people you want. Setup usually starts 30 minutes before doors.

Flexible layouts

Seated dinner, standing reception, presentation rows, or a mix as the night moves. Furniture is not fixed.

The wine machine

A self-dispensing wall of 24 rare wines in 2, 3 and 5 oz pours. It becomes the thing guests talk about.

Getting here

1207 19th St NW. A parking garage less than a block away, plus street parking if you're lucky. Dupont Circle and Farragut West both walkable.

Any day of the week

Every banquet menu is available any day. Sundays we're normally closed, so we open specially and staff the kitchen and bar for you — which suits larger events and is priced accordingly.

What we commit to

Four things we put in writing.

Planning an event is usually a job someone handed you on top of your actual job. These are the four places venues tend to make that harder.

01

A reply within the hour.

Not two days. Inquiries that land during business hours get a real reply from a real person the same hour, with your date confirmed and any questions we need answered. The full priced proposal follows the same day.

02

Your all-in number, up front.

Menu prices are published on this page, and so are the 10% tax, 5% event fee and 18% gratuity. Nothing appears at signature that wasn't here first.

03

One named contact.

The same person from your first email through to the last round, so you never re-explain your event to someone who hasn't read the thread.

04

Yes to the awkward asks.

Outside vendors, your own cake, a specific layout, a Sunday. Start from yes — tell us what you need and we'll tell you honestly if it can't be done.

The inquiry process

Four steps, and the first one takes two minutes.

Step 01

Send the details

Date, headcount, and roughly what you're picturing. If you don't know the room yet, say so — we'll recommend one.

Step 02

Hear back within the hour

A real person, not an autoresponder, with availability and the questions that actually change your quote.

Step 03

Get a customized quote

Room, menu, bar approach and one all-in number, back with you the same day. We hold your date while you decide.

Step 04

Lock the details

Menu selections, layout, vendors, timing. Then you show up and we run it.
